So What is a Data Governance Tool?

I frequently receive questions from practitioners asking for information and assistance regarding evaluating and selecting tools for data governance. These questions include: What is the recommended functionality for data governance tools? What is the difference between a data governance and data quality tool?  Is Excel a data governance tool? Similar discussions on this topic can be found on many LinkedIn groups.

Because there are so many questions on data governance tools, an industry survey and comparative analysis of data governance tool functionality is being developed and sponsored by DebTech International and TDAN.com. If you have any questions you would like to see this survey address or if you are a vendor of a data governance tool and would like to provide information about your product, please email info@debtechint.com.

I look forward to seeing TDAN.com readers in June in San Diego.
