Data modeling is the process of learning about and documenting the business, a prerequisite to building applications that meet current and future business requirements. Data Modeling Zone (DMZ) is an annual conference in the US and in Europe where you can sharpen your data modeling skills, share experiences with other data professionals, and help shape our data modeling industry.

DMZ US (Oct 17-19 in Portland) contains over 50 sessions crossing five tracks: Foundational Data Modeling, Agile and Communication, Big Data, Hands-On and Case Studies, and Advanced Data Modeling. Learn from top data experts in the world such as Silverston, Celko, Inmon, Wells, Blaha, Hoberman, just to name a few, as well as many experts in the fields of data science, NoSQL, facilitation, and enterprise architecture.

There will be hands-on ERwin, ER/Studio, Apache Spark, and PowerDesigner sessions, as well as CDMP certification testing including the data modeling certification. Learn leading edge data modeling techniques such as FoCuSeD, Constellation, and COMN, as well as sharpen your entity-relationship and UML skills. Hear data modeling case studies from Caesar’s, Microsoft, Intuit, Costco, Intel, LexisNexis, Cigna, Deutsche Bank, PACCAR, American Family, and more!
