The Data Modeling Addict January 2010

Enjoy this seasonal song from Steve Hoberman
that is destined to be #1 on the charts.

Frosty the Data Modeler

(Sung to the tune of Frosty the Snowman)

Frosty the modeler was a jolly happy soul,
With a logical mind and detective skills
Gathering requirements with a glow.

Frosty the modeler is a superhero, they say,
Analyzing with ease, and saying “Please,
What are your requirements and don’t you tease.”

There must have been some magic in that
Functional requirements doc they found.
For when they placed it on his desk
He began to dance around.

O, Frosty the modeler
Could communicate skillfully,
And his colleagues say he could
Analyze all day attributes happily.

Asking questions,
Challenging requirements,
Look at Frosty go.
Asking questions,
Challenging requirements,
Becoming in the know.

Frosty the modeler knew
The deadlines of the team,
So he said, “Get the rules
And we’ll build tools
That we’ll make our users beam.”
