The new issue (July 2008) of The Data Administration Newsletter (TDAN.com) is now available on-line
at http://www.TDAN.com. This would be the 11th Anniversary issue if I measured those things every year. :)
The July issue contains new articles from me, Robert S. Seiner (Stewardship Approach to Data Governance: Chapter 9) -
Coming Soon!, Scott Benson (The 10-Minute Data Model Review Part 1), Ravi Shankar (Avoiding Common Master Data Management False Starts) and Michael M. David (Where is the Query in XQuery?).
Two feature columns were added – Craig S. Mullins (The Database Report) and Steve Hoberman (The Data Modeling Addict).
A brand new quarterly column from Ron Ross focusing on Business Rules will be added starting next month. For a taste of
Ron’s new feature column see the Special Features this month. Also, one other special feature was added from Robert S. Seiner - “Data Governance – The 5 Core
Questions Leading to a Goal”. Links to new articles on the Business Intelligence Network have been added as well: Bill Inmon (Building the Inexpensive Data Warehouse), David
Loshin (Master Data Management Readiness) and Jill Dyché (The Dirty Job of Data Governance).
PLEASE send me articles you are interested in having published through this award winning publication. I am still looking
to add Feature Columns that will run quarterly in Feb/May/Aug/Nov and Mar/Jun/Sep/Dec. Please send me an email with your ideas. Have a great month.
